Hope for Baybay, Leyte: Typhoon Agaton Victims

1st OUTREACH, June 17, 2022

“As a Church, I believe it is our job to carry the burdens of people, especially the people that can’t carry it on their own.” – Cam Bynum, Fil-American NFL player for the Minnesota Vikings and Founder of Bynum Faith Foundation, Inc.

Our partnership with New Life Community Care Foundation International, Inc. made it possible for us to do our very first outreach in the Philippines.

The Philippines is impacted by an average of 20 typhoons every year. Five of which are destructive and devastating. We believe that compassion compels us all to reach out and respond with whatever we have and however, we can to help restore and rebuild lives.

MEDIA footage from The Sportsnaut Interviews Vikings Safety, Camryn Bynum, joins Carolyn Manno to discuss how he has traveled to the Philippines to assist in the relief effort after devasting typhoons caused damage to the region.
We were able to distribute over 465 relief food bags and gave out total cash aid of 460,000 pesos to 2 evacuation areas in Baybay, Leyte. These are communities and families who lost their homes and loved ones to landslides caused by Typhoon Megi. We also had the opportunity to provide Psychological First Aid to 100 adults and almost 200 kids to help with their trauma and recovery.

We are truly grateful to New Life Community Care Foundation International, Inc. for bringing hope to Baybay. With AirAsia Philippines and Fan’s Hotel Baybay for supporting us, we were able to fulfill our mission. Thanks to the New Life Network Church Partners and volunteers from Catbalogan, Tacloban, and Carigara, for helping us reach out to the Filipino communities through their valuable help and service.
