Published December 14, 2025 • People Asia

You have until Dec. 17 to participate in the landmark “Alab ng Puso” exhibit, an initiative where passion meets purpose. The auction is for the benefit of recent victims of calamities that have pummeled the country.
Visceral emotion poured onto canvas and shaped into sculpture by over 50 prominent Filipino artists has successfully transformed into clear, tangible relief for communities affected by recent natural calamities. The exhibit, apart from its noble intentions to help in generate funds for relief and rehabilitation, proves that art is a powerful catalyst for direct action, channeling frustration over the current political situation into a potent force for good.

Currently hosted by Art Lounge Manila at The Podium, the exhibit is much more than a showcase of poignant deviation from the artists’ usual oeuvre. It is a vital, time-sensitive fundraising mechanism. The unique works—direct expressions of rage, frustration, and hope for a better Philippines—are actively bringing support to communities that often feel beyond the reach of government aid.

The collaborative effort between Galerie Francesca, Art Lounge Manila and the Bynum Faith Foundation, founded by Fil-Am NFL Player Camryn Bynum, has already yielded concrete, life-changing results. The Bynum Faith Foundation serves as the on-ground arm, ensuring that every peso from the exhibit’s sales directly translates into hope and critical support where it is needed most.
The foundation recently conducted successful relief operations in three of the most affected communities in Cebu devastated by recent earthquakes and floods. These efforts delivered essential aid and demonstrated the true power of private sector and artistic collaboration.

This immediate action highlights the core mission of “Alab ng Puso”: to transform political dissent into effective humanitarian aid. Every purchase made by a patron or art aficionado directly fuels these relief efforts, closing the gap between critique and constructive contribution.
