Feeding Kids in Tondo, Manila
February 21, 2026
On February 21, 2026, something beautiful unfolded in the heart of Tondo, Manila. Long before the sun rose, at 5:00 AM, hands were already at work — washing, peeling, chopping, and stirring with one simple purpose: to make sure a child wouldn’t go hungry that day. Rice was cooked, potatoes and carrots were carefully prepared, tomatoes sliced, and savory ground beef was simmered together with vegetables into a warm, nourishing meal made with love.
By the time the day unfolded, over 1,500 children across communities in Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Tondo had received a hot, freshly cooked plate — many of them lining up with hopeful eyes and eager smiles. Before the meal, Metro World Child opened hearts and imaginations through an engaging Sidewalk Sunday School, filling the children not just with food, but with joy and a sense of belonging.
Watching those little faces light up — laughing, playing catch with a football, running freely — reminded us why this work matters so deeply. These children are not a statistic. They are seen, they are loved, and they deserve every warm meal and moment of joy.
Bynum Faith Foundation is profoundly grateful to have stood alongside New Life Community Care Foundation and Metro World Child in this work.
We are forever thankful to Jonathan and Jazmine Edwards, and to our beloved coaches John and Greyson Bankhead whose presence and generous hearts made this day more meaningful.
To serve God by serving His beloved children in this corner of the Philippines — there are truly no words for what that means to us. Our hearts are full. And we left a little piece of them there. 🙏❤️
